This June is a very powerful month! I hope you got off to a good start with the New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Gemini on June 1st. This first half of June is best spent by clearing all that no longer serves you and resonates with your truth. It is about clearing our energetic patterns in the subconscious. The best way to do this is by forgiving everything! It does not matter whether it is stuff from the past or something happening presently, or our projections into the future. Simply be willing to forgive, knowing that the power of true forgiveness will free you from all suffering, as taught by A Course In Miracles.
On June 15th we have a Full Moon with a Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius. It will likely bring up many emotions. Its keynote is facing our challenges and aligning our values with our true spiritual values. What truly matters and what doesn't? Likely, most of the things that we thought were so important and serious are just ego attachments to things having to be certain way. Many of our old values actually keep us from discovering who we really are. A Course In Miracles asks us to question every value we hold in order to remember who we really are. It teaches us that we are still as God created us, but we do not remember our true selves because for so long we have identified with the ego - which is the symbol for separation from God. Again, the key to remembering our true selves is forgiveness.
July 1st will be another New Moon and another Solar Eclipse - this time in Cancer. It will be a time to embody the "new you". It will feel like you are not the same person you were a month before! Start thinking about what that means to you. How does the "new you" feel about life? What are his or her primary characteristics? What is the next grandest version of your most magnificent self like? What are his or her primary values? This is the time to align your highest spiritual values with your very being. And it is also time to take practical action to act as that person! It is not enough to think about it; it is time to embody your highest thoughts.
I would like to take a moment here to tell you about my own powerful experience this past weekend and how that relates to what I have just talked about regarding the Eclipse triad. It takes me back to my childhood for a moment. I knew as a child that love is the greatest power in the universe, and I understood about the power of forgiveness. I knew that our true nature IS love and that the way to remember it is by forgiving. That is why I always sent love to the kids that bullied me all throughout my childhood - before school age, in school, and outside of school as well as in the home (my dad dated a lady for several years whose daughter was a bully). I forgave them all knowing that they can't hurt who I really am which is love. And I always sent them love regardless of what they did to me.
When I moved to Canada from Finland in 1987, A Course in Miracles come into my life right away. I started reading this big thick book as much as I could, and I did the workbook lessons after I finished the text. I also eventually attended a Course study group as well as facilitated my own for a while. Twenty four years later after reading the Course several times, I realized this weekend that I had not understood the full magnitude and magnificence of this Course! It was thanks to another book that found its way to me, called The Disappearance of the Universe, that my ears and eyes were opened to truly appreciate what the Course has to offer.
This book is written about the Course and has come to perhaps clarify the teachings of the Course, and definitely to preserve the integrity of the Course. Although there are many paths to God, there is not another path like the Course in the world. It certainly does not mean that everyone has to study the Course, but what it does mean is that for those of us who already do, it offers the fastest way to enlightenment which is union with God. So, I am very excited to have this opportunity to release all other paths that I have been trying to follow at the same time and to just focus on the one path that was given me long ago - the same one I understood even as a child.
So, this has been part of my releasing of that which no longer serves me and aligning myself with my true path which leads me to my true self without fail. I am extremely grateful to be walking the path of forgiveness and love and to finally understand that forgiveness offers me everything I want, just like the Course promises. I didn't quite believe that fully before, because it didn't seem practical to apply forgiveness to all situations, but now I see that it truly can be applied to anything and everything. Forgiveness does not mean that we first condemn and then pardon. That is not forgiveness. Forgiveness sees the truth of everyone and does not buy into the ego's illusions. I'm sure you'll hear more from me on this subject in subsequent posts, but for know I will simply focus on practicing forgiveness in my own life. That is the greatest service I can give to us all; that is doing my part in bringing us all closer to the Peace of God.
