In my January post I wrote about how we must be true to ourselves and follow our hearts this year, or our lives will become intolerable. Well, things really started happening for me soon after that. I received a very clear message in meditation from Archangel Michael that I was to walk away from my job, and I was even given a date! Now, that was different, since until that point it was always just a matter of time, but I never really knew when that time would come.
I have been talking about following our hearts and our joy for a long time know, but still hanging onto a job that is not fulfilling my heart's joy. Why? For the very logical reason of needing to pay the bills! We all need a roof over our heads, food and clothing and so on... I even said to the Beings up in the spirit world - you know angels and the like - that "hey guys, it's easy for you up there to tell me to just go with the joy, but I still need these basic needs met...!"
It wasn't long after that I finally was able to hear the clear messages from them, that these needs will always be met, but I must have trust. So, for as long as I am holding on to the most logical way of having them met, I will limit myself to that being pretty much the only way that they can be met. So much for trusting the Divine Universe!
This is the message of the card: "You drew this card as a validation of what you have already known or suspected: Archangel Michael is with you right now. If you are considering making life changes, such as leaving a job... ask Michael for help in moving forward fearlessly." Could it be any more clear?
A couple of weeks later I had a session with a wonderful healer, Eileen Murray, who was sent to me to facilitate coming to my final clarity. During the session I was able to walk through the last of my fears and I did, indeed, get the same message as I had received in my meditation. But just to be on the safe side, I decided to play with my cards again the next morning... two different decks to be exact. So, I sit there and shuffle the angel cards (Angel Therapy Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue), and who else comes out of the deck, but Archangel Michael!
And, if that wasn't enough, just to be doubly sure, I said to him: "OK, if you come to me one more time I will act on this guidance. I am going to do it." So, I start shuffling the other deck (Ascended Masters Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue), and you guessed, here he is again - Archangel Michael himself! The card is titled: You Can Do It! It reads: "You are qualified and ready to take the steps toward your desired outcome. You have what it takes to fulfill your dreams and your life's purpose. This card signals it is time now to make your move. You can do it! Take action without delay or hesitation!" Could this be any more clear...?
I knew then that I could not ask for any more guidance, or any more validation, or any more validation upon validation... It was time to act. So, I did. I am taking the leap of faith I have been contemplating for a long time. I am leaving my day job and going to follow my heart. It has always been my passion to work as a spiritual teacher and healer. I already do of course, but it is clearly time to take this to the next level and to make myself available on a full-time basis. So, here I come!
I am sharing this story with you to encourage you to keep asking for guidance, and to keep asking for validation. The angels really don't mind! But, also to have the courage to trust your guidance and to follow it! It may feel a bit scary at first, but once you start doing it, you move from living in fear to enjoying a life of great adventure! You find your joy! Life won't feel like a heavy burden or a struggle any more, but will have a beautiful quality of lightness to it. And, an unexplainable peace will envelope you. That is probably the most beautiful thing...
